I got my bass back, and here's the tune for it: [link]
"If we were to talk about the heretic Excommunicate Traitor known as Torturer, it would be unwise to overestimate our foe. He, by no means, is the strongest warband leader in the sector, and a "champion" that had known defeat far too many times to be respected by the savages the heretic warlords are... But, for what we know, he has an ability to draw loyalty to his wretched and depraved persona, something he had falled back on for decadeds. It had even amounted to the traitor consorting with warpish fiends - and we know that Torturer has no source of power to keep them on a short leash. This matter should be investigated by Ordo Malleus, in standard proceeding." - Morran Tenepht, Lord-Inquisitor.
Fucking shit. Fucking finished, as I wanted before New Years. 8 months in the works. Fucking outdone myself.
Fuck everyone who don't fave and comment, and praise Slaanesh, bitches.
Your female anatomy is getting better, with better proportions, even if Domine is in danger of duckface. It could just be full lips too, hard to judge from a face-on view. If I have one complaint on the Daemonettes, it's that their arms are so skinny! They may be daemons but give them some shapes to put those nice tats on! And speaking of tats/tits: They look nice and weighty and have a sense of presence. There's jiggle-factor in them. Middle one is a bit bony for those knockers, but something a little smoothing out of muscle definition can't rectify. Dead Beckjannic Dark Eldar: nice touch.
Now, Torturer: It is nice to see him unarmoured, to show how utterly wasted his body actually is, a far cry from the well muscled physiques of your average Astartes. Somehow that just highlights his depravity. The bionic fingers and jaw don't help. He might've been handsome once, but no more. The connector ports for the black carapace dotting his body are nicely spread out, look sensible and are very neatly woven into the chest tattoo. Hinduic inspiration?
You have done a great job with values here. Torturer is brighter than the others, bringing him to the fore. Despite the almost insane detailing, the picture is very readable. The trouble is that it isn't the most original of motifs, even with the Chaotic 40k twist. It feels as if I've seen this elsewhere in fantasy art. The Slaanesh icon at the top is also slightly lopsided. There's something to it that feels as if it doesn't quite align properly.
And yes, this is probably just gonna sound as griping, but I am missing a background. The grey is neutral, but with all the other grey going on in this, it gets irrevocably flat. It is better than a white void, though I can't convince myself a black background would have been even better. Lastly: where are Torturer's legs, as well as the two daemonettes'? They just sort of hover in the background. Okay, if it is more meant to be iconography, but the highly realistic render belies that. This is, to my eyes, a pic of them in the middle of a Slaaneshii sermon, a photo if you will.
In closing: technically and conceptually I can find little issue with this. Maybe a darker background, to really make Torturer pop out.
That is insanely well done! Just wow, 8 months to do it? But damn well worth the time with these results, I´m stunned, superb!
Hate when people just fave and not comment, but I have to apologize, I´m not much of a faver, prefer to comment, but: I freaking love this, details, shading, the poses everything is stunning
