Reptileby =torture-device

Before you accuse me of drawing anthro/furry, read this description.

Animals have always been symbolic. Incorporating elements of beasts into art always served a symbolic purpose of allegory, a metaphore to which the human form not always had been fit. So here I use the animalistic element to highlight a human trait. Something that artists had been doing since the age of caricatures and art itself.

This is why this drawing is in the surreal section. The figure depicted here isn't half-man, half-reptile. No, it's fully human. But why the reptilian, disproportionate and grotesque head then?

Here's the point. Have you ever been called a "reptile"? Have you heard people being called that? Or maybe heard/read about the mysterious otherworld race of reptoids? Some people are deemed to be "reptilian" in nature, and that, in itself, is an admirable quality, one which I posses and as a narcissist couldn't pass by simply.

To all the cold-blooded, calculating, slow, steady and lethal out there.
To all the "reptilians" out there - enjoy.

I love the metaphor in this piece. Sterling detail, as is to be seen in your work.
Strange how such "reptiles" are so ostracized in their own communities. One can be friendly, pleasant, and soft spoken when it's suitable, but not vicious, underhanded, and bestial when one needs to? Always a bit amusing, when they shy away. Company that cannot accept examples of the latter is company not worth keeping in my opinion.
