The Order of Unity is a relatively new Chaos cult, comprised entirely of daemonhosts. For a long time, both Imperial and Chaos theologists pondered over why some people become quite successful vessels for warp entities, being able to contain the demon within even for the benefit of the host, and some quickly deteriorate into insane instable creatures and chaosspawn. The Order of Unity seemed, as they proclaimed, to find the answer to this question, around which their whole ideology and theology revolves. The Order believes, that since the warp is the reflection or underside of the real world, and warp entites consist from the thin psychic matter people and other creatures of the universe emit, that the process of forming of daemons is not random, but individual. As both materium and Immaterium are balanced, then it possibly could be that each person produces his own daemon, and that daemon, ultimately, is the part of a greater being being split between two planes of existence. Therefore, the practices of the Order is to ensure that each who seeks the transhuman power of the warp, re-unites with the daemon that HE had created during his sentient life.
It's unknown if the Order's ideas are true or false, however, the fact that each of the members are successfull and strong daemonhosts, it might well hold a grain of truth.
Siegfried Ygg had been a Commisar conscripted to one of the Valhallan regiments. Somewhere during the war led by the Imperial Guard against a Word Bearers warband, he had become exposed to this chaos cult (which provides demonhost merceneries to legions and gangs fighting under the Undivided banner), and betrayed the Guard, his former master. Years later he re-appered on battlefields across numerous sectors, this time as a daemonhost. He had offered his services to Word Bearers warhost as a powerful psyker and an anti-Inquisitorial headhunter, which had been accepted without question. In one of the battles with the Inquisition forces, he managed to get himself a trophy - a Sister of Battle, subdued and brainwashed to the level of a feral animal, whom Siegfried trained to attack other enraged Imperial women who often comprise Inquisitors retinues. He highly values his possesion and rarely goes anywhere without her, for it is not only war that can bring quite different pleasures to a transhuman.
"Devotion to the Emperor? After I talk with you, you'll forget he ever existed"
Simply said, doing this pic was FUN. I consider the work on textures and lines here to be one of my best, and the characters where quite fun to draw out)
Bloody hell, this is epic. There is so much detail. I love the spike things going into the guys chest, and his wings. Must say though something about the armour on the guys(?... I sure hope it's a guy >.>chest looks weird to me. Also his right hand looks kind of awkward. And this would look soooo much better with a background... But it looks good enough like it is now. XD All up, I absolutely love this. If not only because I'm a sucker for detail. The dudes hair looks so very soft, and yes now I'm just trying to get to the work limit.
Interesting concept for a cult. I can see radical inquisitors seeking to know their technologies. Plus the notion that the forces of Chaos are the direct result of the interaction of sentient beings and the immaterium, makes it a lot more personal and internal force..
I understand that the souless-feral-pet could be a satirical view on the devotion that the sisters have for the emperor. But this woman must be a new conquest and I would love to see how Siegfried has "improved" older trophies
So beautiful! I love the pose and expressions!Epic!I love all the little details The only thing that disturbs me is swastika on your icon. I'm afraid if you mean it, I'd have to unfriend you.
