Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't got the memo yet - yes, I motherfucking hate nerds.
To me, nerds is what ruins the internet, media and culture. Nerds are the bane, cancer and AIDS of everything creative mankind has ever shat out. They are rightfully bullied, ostracized and ridiculed, and if you think otherwise - you're probably a nerd too. More likely than not, nerds congregate on the internet to spread their fucking shit.
How do I define a nerd? In my NARROW perspective, a nerd is a person, who's being revolves around digging through a corpse of some subculture cornerstone with total dismissal of other joys in life. It's obsession, dependance and vicarious living through a number of media creations.
That's disgusting. It inevitably leads to neckbeard, acne, autism and perpetual virginity. But what's the most loathsome trait of nerds, is spoiling things for non-nerds. Because a nerds whole like IS the chosen media, they won't tolerate someone taking that lightly.
Take, for instance, this time when I went to see this shitty movie, BATTLESHIP. Okay, the movie is RIDICULOUS, right, because it's based yet again on a Hasbro game. Whatever, I like looking at FX and explosions. But I was unlucky to sit near a trio of highschool-aged nerds, who thought it'd be fun to loudly discuss how what's happening in the movie relates to Transformers, and at a point, that babbling transformed - no pun intended - in a heated argument consering Optimus Whatsitname and some other shit in the franchise. Fuck my good hearing. I had to sit through nearly two hours of that nasal whining.
Nerds are ALWAYS whining, that's their defining trait - be it about the reload of their favorite franchise not up to their refined taste, or some obscure fandom-generate meme not being included in their faggy show or gaming stats making them loose an online battle. Point is, it's always about either a game, a show or some amalgam of those.
Nerds are more often than not, retrofags. Their autism results in the peculiar behavior that consists of them growing attached to whatever comprised their childhood and never grow out of that. That's why nerds always hold unto their shitty childhood games, cartoons and so forth even when they are a grown man or woman. The attachment is so strong and they feel so insecure without it, that they'll create any excuses to continue on with it.
Some might attempt to say that I'm a nerd too, based on the fact that I do 40k shit. But many people wondered, why my 40k fancreations are so weird often and why they rile up so many nerds when I piss in their kool-aid? Here's the secret, come closer.... yeah, I have your attention? I NEVER READ A 40K CODEX THROUGH. Not a single one - I got bored. I read bits here and there or consulted an online source on matters. I have no fucking idea how stormbolters work, how many fucks a Sister of Battle is allowed to recieve, or how the Eldar language works. I don't give a single flying, crawling or drowning fuck. There's other stuff to delve deeper into, such as sociology, for example.
More over, as a kid I almost never watched cartoons, because duh - post Soviet Russia. I seen like 3 series of Star Trek and 1 movie in 2009. I like FPS shooters like Halo, and to be honest, I think pen and paper RPGs are lame as fuck. Point is, I'm too lazy to be a nerd even though some things I enjoy border on nerdfag shit.
Oh god, and superhero comics. That shit is GODAWFUL.
And that's another thing. Nerds are NEVER lazy about things they deem important. Oh no. They'll wade through all the nooks and crannies and create some themselves. They'll stalk their idols at comic cons, and collect hoard-mountains of paraphrenalia. They'll make music videos about their favorite My Little Pony and discuss the way an anime characters hair color differs from manga to anime.
However, the paramount of nerdism, and a clear defining line between a nerd and non-nerd, is the way a person treats others concerning their obsession and meaning of life. Most people, when someone tells them that their interests or hobbies aren't cool, or when someone says they don't like their favorite thing ever, feel a bit miffed - we all like to think that our tastes are good. But, miffed or not, the majority of people aknowledge the fact that opinions differ, considering cultural nodes of various kinds. The most healthy individuals don't care at all. For example, I like the late 90s TV sci-fi series LEXX. It was a pretty obscure canadian show that somehow got it's way to russian TV, and I enjoyed it immensely. Tho, since I'm not a nerd, I haven't re-watched it ever again after it stopped airing. But none the less, when people tell me "hey, TD, that is some really crappy show", I'm like "prolly, I think it's cool tho. Must've liked it cuz I was a teen back then". There, end of question. Or people that nag me about my like of dubstep.... well, what can I say apart that I like everything that sounds like robots raping each other?
But NOOO. Nerds, true nerds would pound your throat to accept that what they like is the GREATEST THING EVER AND HOW DARE YOU NOT SHARE MY SENTIMENTS? YOU BETTER SAY SOMETHING NICE OR STAY SHUT. Insults directed at what they like is unbearably painful to nerds because a nerd IS what he likes. The whole personality is a patchwork of some autistic shit. And in order to feel accepted, they need for the people around them to take up that shit as well, and there you have it - a nerdgasming circlejerk revolving around some RPG character traits and HP damage or how it's called.
Personally, nerds are kinda ruining some things for me, if I were a type that would care about the ruinage, but sometimes it gets too grating and I don't allow myself to devolve in actually arguing with nerds. Mostly it's considering book to movie adaptations. People should realize that the language of literature and cinematography is DIFFERENT, and no, a carbon copy isn't possible. A movie is a movie, and should be viewed as such, not a moving pictures set to your favorite book. Games - yeah, all other can of assburger worms. Good things that I tend to play games that aren't the focus of raging manchildren, buut, sometimes ruinage does com. Like when faggots can't live with the fact that the new Syndicate game is an FPS or that "DED SPESS IS LESS SCAREH THAN SYSTEM SHOCK TWWWWOOO". Oh and of course warhammer, with its over 9000 nerds on a square internets.
I dunno. These people should take up some sports or a job. Though, even with a job, they still film themselves in an inflating Batman costume, or someshit like this.
But at least in public places, I'd like to enjoy my intake of media, like the movies, without some acne-ridden fuck mumbling near me that the "ship's design isn't accurate according to bah bah bah bah".
Shut the fuck up.
